I sit and watch the sky move,
And know now, that you’re ok.
At that,
A feather that was placed on my lap,
Glides weightlessly off, and I smile,
Because it reminds me, of me…
It flies,
Into the moist air,
I watch it as it disintegrates into the distance,
As it goes on it’s own journey,
Not knowing where it’s going, or what events are going to take place.
Not knowing its fate…
But that doesn’t matter,
Because safety isn’t an urgency in this day and age,
We both said we gotta live life it to the full
And make sure we’re happy.

This is where I’ve landed now
You’re not here with me anymore,
And sometimes that’s a disappointment,
But I’ve got a story to tell,
And there’s no option to put my full stop here,
‘Cause you know I would if I could,
But I cannot.
I still love you,
I still cry my dear eyes dry,
But this is the path I need to follow,
And this thought overpowers me,
No matter how hard I try.
